Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy is a show unlike anything else on television. A fusion of live action and animation with music by Sergio Pizzorno (Kasabian). Along with animator/director Nigel Coan (Mighty Boosh, Bunny and the Bull), Fielding has created a joyful, charming explosion of a show in the tradition of Spike Milligan and Kenny Everett. A mash-up of sketch comedy and psychedelic sitcom featuring wild characters such as ghost of a flea, Dondylion and Fantasy Man (a modern day Tron Quixote trapped inside an electronic opera). Luxury Comedy, also starring Mike Fielding, Tom Meeten and Dolly Wells, will change the way you feel about television and your own hands forever! Special Features: Audio Commentary with Noel Fielding and the Cast Behind the Scenes Documentary
The TV adaptation of the highly popular series of 'Doctor' books by Richard Gordon was a massive hit for ITV on its original transmission in 1969. Centred on the hilarious misadventures of a team of young doctors at St. Swithin's Hospital, the series showcased the talents of Barry Evans, Robin Nedwell, Geoffrey Davies and Richard O'Sullivan as their characters made painful progress from newly qualified juniors to fully fledged medical malcontents under the scrutiny of the fearsome Professor Loftus (Ernest Clark). Featuring scripts from a team of writers that included Bill Oddie and Graeme Garden (The Goodies), John Cleese and Graham Chapman (Monty Python's Flying Circus), Barry Cryer (The Two Ronnies, The Kenny Everett Television Show) and Douglas Adams (Hitch-hiker's Guide...), its original setting and robust humour made the Doctor series essential viewing. The series lasted for nearly a decade and this 20-disc set presents every hilarious episode, originally screened between 1969 and 1977.

There are also extracts from Start the Week, Desert Island Discs, Foreverett and Everett on Everett. As well as clips from his radio shows, Remembering... The Whistler was one of radio's top mystery programs, airing from May 16, 1942 until September 22, 1955. The Whistler was an ominous narrator who opened each episode with, "I am the Whistler, and I know many things, for I walk by night. I know many strange tales, many secrets hidden in the hearts of men and women who have stepped into the shadows. I know the nameless terrors of which they dare not speak." The opening dialog was heard over the echo of footsteps and Wilbur Hatch's haunting signature 13-note theme, whistled each week by Dorothy Roberts. The stories followed an effective formula in which a person's criminal acts were typically undone by his or her own missteps. The Whistler narrated, often commenting directly on the action in the manner of a Greek chorus, taunting the criminal from an omniscient perspective. One of the show's trademarks was the ironic twist endings that helped serve as a payoff for the listener. Bill Forman had the title role of host and narrator the longest. Others who portrayed the Whistler included Gale Gordon, Lucille Ball's future television costar; Joseph Kearns, Mr. Wilson on the television series Dennis the Menace; Marvin Miller, soon to be television's Michael Anthony on The Millionaire; Bill Johnstone, the Shadow on radio from 1938 to 1943; and Everett Clarke. Episodes include: "Night Melody", "Seven Steps to Murder", "Safety in Numbers", "A Woman's Privilege", "Mavis Cameron Disappears", "The Lady and the Knife", "The Blank Wall", "Backlash", "The Black Book", "Fateful Friday", "Caesar's Wife", and "Juggernaut". 1. The cowboy, America's most popular folk hero, appeals to millions of readers of novels, histories, biographies, and folk tales. Cowboys command a vast audience on country radio, television, and at the movies, but what exactly is a cowboy? Authors Joe B. Frantz and Julian Ernest Choate, Jr., reveal the real, dyed-in-the-wool cowboy as a heroic being from the American past, who richly deserves to be understood in terms of reality, instead of myth. Here, then, is the definitive portrait of the American cowboy - in frontier history and in literature - reexamined, revitalized, and set in the proper perspective. Many exciting accounts of cowboy life have been presented by such talented writers as J. Evetts Haley, J. Frank Dobie, Wayne Gard, Walter Prescott Webb, Edward Everett Dale, Helena Huntington Smith, Ramon F. Adams, and C. L. Sonnichsen. But Frantz and Choate see the cowboy in relation to the entire panorama of western history and as part of a continuing tradition: "The American cowboy has carved a niche - niche nothing, it's a gorge - in American affection as a folk hero, and in this role we have surveyed him." 1. In one of the goofiest slapstick comedies on the radio, Archie the bartender assaulted the English language and insulted most of Hollywood. Portrayed by series creator Ed Gardner, Archie had hard luck with the ladies. But, he must have had some appeal to draw a group of guest stars like Marlene Dietrich, Gypsy Rose Lee, Chester Morris, Ed Wynn, Bob Crosby, Rudy Vallee, and more. Or maybe the credit goes to his compatriots Finnegan, Eddie, Miss Duffy, Clancy the Cop, Slippery McGuire, and the rest of the gang (played by the likes of Charlie Cantor, Eddie Green, Florence Halop, Alan Reed, Sheldon Leonard, and more). Raise a glass to 20 digitally restored and remastered episodes and rare NBC monitor rehearsal recordings. Episodes include: "Auditor Finds a Shortage", 01-07-48; "Archie Wants to Patent Electricity", 02-23-49; "Archie Writes a Television Play", 03-09-49; "Spike McGurk", 03-23-49; "Archie and Finnegan Double Date", 04-06-49; "Millionaire Bum J. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! USA-1 is a monster truck that was competing during the eighties and nineties, named after a Chevrolet ad campaign. It competed against Bigfoot in the first televised monster truck race on the American television show That's Incredible! in 1983. The truck was initially painted blue before it was repainted in white. Everett Jasmer built and raced the truck in the late 1970s. USA-1 was a consistent winner in the mid to late 80s with Steve Wilke and Rod Litzau sharing the driving, and is best known for its many wins and legendary crashes. It won the 1988 TNT Monster Truck Racing Series championship. It was one of the last nationally competitive monster trucks to use a leaf spring suspension. Everett contacted Mark Hall, co-owner of Raminator, to campaign a USA-1 body in 1992 on their Executioner chassis. In the next year, Everett had Kirk Dabney campaign the body on his Nitemare 4 chassis.
